The Herefordshire Housing Group is a not-for-profit group which provides home and support services to people across Herefordshire and the surrounding counties.
The group structure, which combines the expertise of the Independence Trust, provider of wellbeing services, and Herefordshire Housing, a housing association aims to support and challenge individuals, families and communities to achieve their potential for sustainable wellbeing and independence.
The Group draws on the expertise of the two organisations which means factors including social networking and relationships, good mental and physical health; occupation and safe and secure housing forms a unique package for our customers.
We are focused on three key areas:
People. We’re committed to helping people take a full part in the world and enjoy a rich and fulfilling life – both in their own homes and in the wider community.
Homes. We’re a social landlord with over 5800 properties under management. Our aim is to create and maintain homes people enjoy and want to live in.
Community. We aim to create communities that people feel safe in, feel inspired by, and want to contribute to.

Herefordshire Housing manage and maintain over 5800 homes within Herefordshire, and are investing in more all the time. As a responsible social landlord, we believe that everyone should have access to high quality services and support. We take care to understand what our customers want, and to develop services which meet their needs.
Herefordshire Housing is one of the UK’s best performing housing associations, with a reputation for quality work. Many of our services – including Careline for elderly and vulnerable people and our initiatives in Anti-Social Behaviour – are recognised nationally as examples of best practice. Some of our services are available to organisations through Enterprise Herefordshire, our commercial operations division.
As the largest Social Landlord in the county, Herefordshire Housing is always looking for the opportunity to find new homes and housing for Herefordshire residents, and we are working hard to provide more choice across the diverse communities we serve.
Each year, we aim to deliver some 50 new homes, and have an active programme of new build and refurbishment that will supply more than 300 new homes over the next few years. Here are our main projects:
Herefordshire Housing Ltd works with nine other housing associations in a consortium, called Spectrum Development Partnership, which combines resources and expertise to bid for funding to build new houses throughout the West Midlands.
